Wedderburn Christian Campsite

Wedderburn Christian Campsite is located about 70km south west of Sydney, New South Wales. It is a getaway venue for school camps and retreat camps. To get there follow the M1, M5 and Hume Motorway/M31 to Narellan Road in Campbelltown. Take the Narellan Rd exit and continue on Narellan Rd for 2.4km. Turn right onto Appin Rd and continue for 2.3km. Turn left onto Woodland Rd and after 1.4km turn right onto Karrabul Rd, which turns into Wedderburn Rd. Turn right onto Minerva Rd and continue for 2.2km until you arrive at Wedderburn Christian Campsite. The drive typically takes about an hour and a half.
Wedderburn Camp sleeps up to 120 guests. The accommodation units consist of three buildings, The Black Cockatoo, The Rosella and The Homestead. The Black Cockatoo Cabin consists of 4 rooms, which are fitted with 5 bunk beds (10 beds), sleeping a total of 40. All the rooms have their own ensuite. The Rosella Cabin also has 4 rooms that sleep 10 people in each in bunk beds. The Homestead has 7 ensuited rooms and has a mix of double beds and bunk beds. All the rooms include fans in summer and heaters in winter. Camping in tents is also an option at Wedderburn.
The dining room at Wedderburn Camp is connected to a commercial kitchen and also serves as a recreation hall and large meeting room. It comfortable seats up to 200 people and all your meals are served here. Good quality food and large portions are served from kitchen. You also have the option of hiring out the kitchen facilities if you want to organise your own meals during your stay. There are two separate meeting rooms, one which seats about 15 people and the other which seats around 40 people. The outdoor alfresco area is able to fit about 10 people.
There is plenty of space at Wedderburn Christian Campsite for recreational activities, including a soccer field, basketball half court and volleyball court. The swimming pool is available at no additional charge and has a wrestling pole over the deep end. A limited supply of sports equipment is also available. In addition to these facilities, adventure type activities can be booked. There is a 6 metre rock wall, a 50 metre flying fox and an archery shed which includes modern bows, large targets and a shaded shooting range.
Wedderburn Camp is located two minutes’ drive from the Dharawal National Park. There are three walking trails from the Wedderburn entrance of the National Park. The O’Hare’s Creek Walking Track and Lookout is an easy 2.8km return walk on a flat, sealed surface. It leads to lookout with view of the gorge and some rockpools. The 10T Management Trail is a medium 2.4km return walk, which includes some steep sections and loose surfaces. This walk leads to Minerva Pool, which is a large pool with a rock island in the middle. The Jinnga Walking Track is a hard 2.8km return walk, which includes some steep hills and loose surfaces, leading to a waterhole along O’Hare’s Creek.
